1. The Professional Development Center at the University of Tirana organized on 21.06.2023 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. the workshop, with the theme Toward practical wisdom: An experiential teaching and learning model for the next generation of university students. The above-mentioned activities took place with the lecturer, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Ronald Shaiko, who is part of the Fulbright US Scholar in Albania program, professor at Dartmouth College USA, with over 20 years of experience in the field of teaching and recently engaged in the role of Deputy. Director of Research and Curriculum at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and Social Science. 

What was mostly discussed by Prof. Shaiko during his presentation related to:

– Practical knowledge as a goal - experiential/phronetic learning.

– Teaching and learning in the context of social sciences.

– Civic skills.

– Civic responsibility.

– Examples and applications of the teaching and learning model.
