Erasmus+ is a European Union (EU) program which, through projects, offers students and academic staff opportunities for study, training and work experience abroad.
The University of Tirana has been part of the Erasmus Mundus Action II program since 2009, through two large projects JoinEU-SEE and Basieus. Erasmus Mundus Action II was the predecessor program of the Erasmus+ programme. In the JoinEu-SEE Project, UT has been a partner in 5 editions, from JoinEU-SEE I - JoinEU-SEE Penta, where in the latter it also had the role of co-coordinator, together with the University of Graz (which was in the role of coordinator). In the Basileus project, UT has been a partner in the fourth and fifth editions (Basileus IV and Basileus V). Through these projects, student mobility has become possible for several types of mobility such as: bachelor exchange, master exchange, master degree, phd exchange and phd degree. The academic staff had exchange opportunities for training, teaching and post doctorate.
In the Erasmus + KA1 program, UT counts over 115 prestigious partner universities where students (for study and internship) and personnel (for teaching and training) are exchanged.
The University of Tirana, during the years 2016-2022, has won 14 projects supported by the Erasmus+ KA2 Program and 15 by Jean Monnet actions.
From the Jean Monnet projects, 12 Jean Monnet Modules, 1 Jean Monnet Center of Excellence and 2 Jean Monnet Chairs have been awarded.
The University of Tirana wishes you success!
