Pursuant to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for cooperation in the field of education and science, signed on 8.03.2010, entered into force on 1.12.2011, approved by VKM No. 265 dated 21.04.2010, "For the approval of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, for cooperation in the fields of education and science", the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), opens the first round of calls for joint research, technical-scientific applications between Albania and Kosovo. The call expected to remain open during the period 15. 05. 2019 to 15. 08. 2019 has been decided to be postponed until 15.10.2019. This call is open to all fields of scientific research and to all scientific researchers. All those interested are requested to apply by fulfilling the requirements and standard application forms for bilateral projects. The documents will be submitted in hard-copy version to the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), within the deadline provided in this announcement, 15.10.2019. The winning project proposals will be financed for a period of 2 years, with separate grants for each year, which will be given according to the request and in accordance with the financial table attached to the project proposal. The amount of the grant for each year will not be higher than 3000 EUR, which will be converted into ALL based on the exchange rate at the time of funding. The project-proposal will be compiled in the Albanian language and will be submitted simultaneously by the project partners to the relevant agencies and countries. In Albania, the project-proposal will be submitted in 3 (three) copies and will be accompanied by a Cover Letter, which will be signed by the head of the research institution. The project proposals will be reviewed and further evaluated, according to the approved evaluation systems in each country, while the winner will be announced after comparing the evaluations in both countries.
