Open call for project proposals 2021-2022
Pursuant to the Agreement between the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of the Republic of Albania and the National Research Center of the Republic of Italy for cooperation in the field of science, signed on 19.05.2017, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), opens the second round of calls for bilateral research, technical-scientific applications between Albania and Italy.
Researchers from all fields of research and at all career stages associated with a research institution are invited to submit joint project proposals.
The coordinators of the research groups of each country are requested to submit the necessary documentation for the application to the respective institutions. For researchers from Albania, the responsible institution will be the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation. For researchers from Italy, the responsible institution will be the National Research Center (CNR).
All those interested are requested to apply by filling out the requirements and application forms in the documentation attached to this call:
- 3 copies of the project-proposal attached format in each language, Albanian and English;
- 3 copies of the CV of the research groups of both countries;
- 1 cover letter from the owner of the institution.

Documents will be submitted in the release hard copy, at the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), with address Rruga Papa Jjon Pali II, No. 3, Tirana, within the deadline provided for this call, 20.04.2020 16.06.2020.
The project proposals will be reviewed and further evaluated, according to the approved evaluation systems in each country, while the winner will be announced after comparing the evaluations in both countries.
The winning project proposals will be financed for a period of 2 years, with separate grants for each year, which will be given according to the request and in accordance with the financial table attached to the project proposal.
The amount of the grant for each year will not be higher than 2500 EUR, which will be converted to ALL at the time of financing.
We note that the funds that will be allocated for the purpose of this project will be used only for the purpose of realizing the mobility of the applicants. Equipment needs must be covered by the research institutions with which the applicants are associated.
