"Mother Teresa" University in Skopje and the University of Tirana signed a Memorandum of Understanding, laying new foundations for inter-institutional academic partnership.
The Memorandum was signed by the Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha and the Rector of “Mother Teresa” University, while the ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Bekim Fetaji, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Denion Meidani. Representatives of the Student Parliament were also present, testifying to the importance of student involvement in academic cooperation processes.
The memorandum aims to develop joint study and research programs, organize scientific conferences, exchange academic experiences, and implement projects of mutual interest to both institutions.
This collaboration marks an important step towards strengthening academic ties between Albanian universities in the region and promoting quality, innovation and excellence in higher education.
The University of Tirana expresses special appreciation to Mr. Denion Meidani. Through his direct engagement and effective mediation, the signing of this Memorandum was made possible, establishing a stable basis for inter-institutional cooperation. This development does not represent just a formal act, but a strategic step towards building sustainable academic and scientific bridges between the two countries. Thanks to his vision and dedication, concrete premises are created for the expansion of joint projects, academic mobility and the increase of quality in higher education.
