Cooperation between UT and the Polytechnic University of Porto
The University of Tirana signed another cooperation agreement with European counterpart institutions, which aims to increase the exchange of experience, students and academic staff. A delegation of the University of Tirana, under the direction of the Rector Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha is in the Portuguese city of Porto, where he held a meeting at the Politécnico do Porto University, one of the most popular educational institutions in Portugal. Today, the leaders of the two universities signed the first cooperation agreement between the two universities.
The purpose of this agreement is to promote and expand international understanding, development and friendship between the two parties by stimulating and supporting academic, professional and intercultural activities and projects aimed at students, staff and faculty members of both institutions: Politécnico do Porto and University of Tirana.
Some of the areas identified in this agreement of mutual interest between the two universities are:
- Student exchange programs
- Faculty/staff exchange programs
- Visiting activities of researchers
- Collaborative research projects
- Short-term training programs/projects
- Collaborative and exchange lectures, conferences and seminars
UT is in a phase of expanding its partnership with counterpart universities in different countries, mainly in Europe. The agreements aim at a broad cooperation, in the field of scientific research, exchange of experiences and mutual exchange of students.
