The space of this library is 65m² and operates with open funds. The bookshelves are arranged around the walls, which has made it possible to use the space.

The book fund is divided according to:

· Albanian and foreign artistic literature, history, geography, psychology, economics, medicine, etc. In total, this library has approximately 16,000 books.

· This library contains literature from all fields and is helpful to all students.

· This library has a total of 8 study places.

· The Library of the Academy of Sciences has a heritage of about 65 periodical volumes, which cover all subjects of scientific research.

· The Library of the Academy of Sciences is the basic unit for providing the right information on scientific technological productivity and everything new, in relation to the members of the Academy: in the central bodies, in scientific research bodies, in universities, in the interested state and private subjects as well as in civil society. It conducts all correspondence related to literature exchanges, domestically and abroad.

· The Library of the Academy of Sciences has access to a wide range of high-quality full-text electronic resources.

Science Hall

· This hall is used for fund materials: Antiquities, Manuscripts, Dissertations, Archive and Albanian-Balkanology, only in the hall, under the supervision of the appointed employee. The materials of the Antiquarian, Manuscripts and Archive fund are served when the user is equipped with authorization, issued by scientific institutions and with the signature of the holder of the Institution.

 Periodical Hall

· This room is used for current magazines and newspapers, in Albanian and in foreign languages, of a political-social and technical-scientific profile. Reference materials of the type: encyclopedias, terminological dictionaries, bibliographies, printed summary catalogs of literature in various fields. Unique copies of Albanian books, atlases, etc. The literature in this hall is served with open funds divided according to fields, languages, periodicity. Materials in electronic form such as CD-ROMs, video cassettes, etc. are also served.

       Paolo Petta Hall

· This reading room was built with the help of the Italian Institute of Culture with materials donated by the Italian Senate and the family of the Italian scholar of Albanian origin Paolo Petta, with a rich fund of books, mainly in Italian, written about Albania and Albanians as well as many dictionaries, encyclopedias, yearbooks, etc. It offers researchers the contemporary practice of open funding service. In this room, according to the branches of science, over 800 publications are placed, where encyclopedic publications, various bibliographies, dictionaries of various languages, etc. stand out. Publications with an Albanian-Balkanological character are particularly valuable.

       American corner

·        CORNER American Corner is a contemporary library and information service that provides open and uninterrupted access to a wide range of information about the United States in the form of printed reference materials, CD-ROM databases and direct access to American resources through the Internet. This service includes a wide range of information on the United States, its history, politics, culture and literature. It serves a wide circle of citizens interested in news and developments in this country. It also assists those who wish to conduct research on US political, educational, and cultural issues; provides information for those who wish to study in American universities; serves data for persons interested in doing business with American companies, etc. The American Corner serves as traditional cultural and information materials such as books and magazines of interest in the political, economic and social life of the USA, as well as the Internet. 

 German Hall

· The German Reading Room is part of the library services of the National Library and helps German-speaking readers, students and teachers of the German language, etc. in an environment of the old building of the National Library specially restored for this purpose and equipped with modern tools and information technology. In this hall is served a rich fund with all kinds of German literature donated by the Goethe Institute, but a valuable part of its collections are also carefully selected books from the book fund of the National Library. The literature of this room (books, reference publications, periodicals, etc.) helps readers to become better acquainted with German traditions, culture, history and literature.
