Library of the University of Tirana
The mission and purpose of the library is to support the activity of academic staff, students, professionals, as well as scientific researchers in general with educational and scientific literature. In each major unit, the unit library is organized and operated.
The enrichment of the library is done every year, based on the requests of the academic staff, the proposal of the head of the library of the unit and the approval of the dean's office of the main unit.
In addition to the physical libraries in the main units, UT has taken the initiative to have access to digital libraries such as JSTORE.

The University of Tirana in cooperation with the Albanian-American Foundation for Development (AADF) has finalized the agreement for the subscription to the digital library *JSTOR . link:https://www.jstor.org/
The JSTOR digital library offers more than 12 million academic journal articles, 85.000 books and 2 million documents in 75 disciplines. This digital library was created to help academic libraries and publishers convert printed works into digital formats that will be preserved for future generations.
Thanks to the finalized agreement, the JSTOR digital library will enable academic staff and students to research in many fields of study such as business, technology, ecology, botany, natural and social sciences, law, history, cultural heritage, languages foreign etc.

FACULTY OF ECONOMICS LIBRARY "J. LIMPRECHT" Address: "Elbasan Road" The library is continuously enriched through annual purchases of new books and gifts from teachers or book lovers. The realization of the objectives of the study program is also possible through the online and physical scientific libraries that the institution and the main unit have made available to the students of all the study programs, free of charge and easily accessible. Currently, the library owns a fund of 5280 titles, of which 2526 titles are in the Albanian language and 2754 titles in foreign languages, including textbooks, books, periodicals, magazines/bulletins, dissertations, doctorates, etc.) in the fields of economics, statistics, finance, accounting, risk management, marketing, etc. Most of the book materials are in English, but also in German, Italian, Russian, etc., as a result of purchases, various donations from foreigners and donations. The library has at the disposal of students and academic staff with suitable accommodation conditions 2 study rooms with 200 simultaneous seats, where the number of students reaches 100-120 per day, but in the periods of the season it is maximum or over capacity.

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES Address: Boulevard "Gjerg Fishta" The Library of the Faculty of Social Sciences is a university library established in 1996. Its mission is to support the teaching, research and scientific process by serving the students and lecturers of the faculty. The vision of the unit is for the faculty library to function as a scientific research center. Donations from foreign universities served as its initial fund, and then it continued with the purchase of publications of recent years from prestigious publishing houses. The faculty library is mainly supported by donors such as: · French Embassy; · Soros Foundation; · Unicef; · In its fund, the library has various materials such as books, doctorates, diploma topics, periodicals, reference materials. In recent years, for a certain period, access to electronic resources (scientific articles) has been provided by a project of the Slovenian state in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences. The Library of the Faculty of Social Sciences offers the following services: · Internet room; · Reading room; · Closed fund; · Both halls are comfortable and at the full service of students and lecturers of the faculty from 8:00-18:00. The Internet room offers about 15 places, while the reading room offers about 44. The closed fund has literature in the field of philosophy, psychology, sociology, political science, social work, reference materials, doctoral theses. FACULTY OF LAW Address: "Milto Tutulani" street The Faculty of Law library has a collection of 16501 books. The literature offered is in Albanian and in foreign languages English, Italian, French, German and Russian. The largest part, about 80%, is in the field of justice and the rest are historical, philosophical, psychological books, dictionaries and fiction, and there are also 1700 periodicals (magazines). Here are the collections of Official Notebooks from 1942 and subsequently, the magazine "Popular Justice", "Juridical Studies" and various collections of legal magazines.

LIBRARY OF THE FACULTY OF HISTORY AND PHILOLOGY LIBRARY OF THE FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES Address: "Rruga e Elbasani", near the American Embassy The Library of the Faculty of History and Philology, with an area of about 800 m2, owns a fund of about 150 thousand specimens (books, periodicals, dissertations, scientific master's theses, maps and atlases) of various fields. In the literature of this library, materials from fields such as: linguistics, literature, journalism, history, geography, cultural heritage, folklore, psychology, sociology, etc., occupy an important place. These materials are used by students and teachers of the Faculty of History and Philology as well as the Faculty of Foreign Languages. With the help of the "Soros" Foundation, in 2001, a study hall was created with open funds (with about 55 study places), which is equipped with computers, internet and a heating system. This room helps students not only for studying, but also for photocopying of various library materials. In this room, library users can not only access the Internet, but also use computers to prepare course assignments or Master's thesis papers. The library offers students a series of services such as: information and lending service, information and reference literature related to the topics or subjects requested by its users.
