Purpose of this study is to characterize the biodiversity of the Aspergillus section Flavi population in the corn culture, produced in the most important agricultural regions of Albania with molecular and chemical methods and to select local atoxigenic strains as potential candidates for treatment with biocontrol methods to prevent the contamination of this agricultural crop with aflatoxins;
