Grand ceremony for the graduation of young lawyers!
Around 1300 students graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana, in the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, joined together in a grand graduation ceremony at the Concert Hall. The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Dorina Hoxha, described this as a day of pride.
"On the graduation day of our students, it is a special pleasure to be here to share an extraordinary moment. It is not just a celebration, but a day of pride for all of us who have been part of their academic journey. We, as academics, have the privilege of seeing the fruit of our work in their success. Dear students, you are the new force that will carry the changes of the times on your shoulders," she said.
The message from the Rector of the University of Tirana and also a lecturer at this faculty, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, was grateful and inspiring for the recent graduates.
"To provide justice, to separate good from evil, is not just a job, but a mission. And this mission, as beautiful as it seems, is also difficult, because it requires not only professional preparation, but also honesty in relation to the law, the state and the citizen," he declared.
Rector Hoxha said that students are entering the path of life at a time when Albania has entered the final integration process, and this will create great employment opportunities for young people in many fields, and undoubtedly in that of justice.
Minister of Justice, Besfort Lamallari, a former student of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana, shared with the newly graduated lawyers memories from his student life and encouraged them to persevere in achieving their career goals.
"It is a special emotion, especially when I speak after the dean, who has had an important role in my journey, as she was the supervisor of my diploma thesis. It is very important not to make the mistake that students often make when they graduate: it seems as if the path to knowledge ends there. Learn from every experience, every interaction, every meeting and decision you make. From my experience I want to tell you that you will only be safe through the experience you gain," said Lamallari.
This ceremony was also the first direct presentation of the faculty's teaching staff to the new Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro.
"You have gone through phases that have tested your patience and dedication. Schools and universities are not simply institutions, but guiding compasses for the entire society. As young lawyers, you are the bearers of this compass," said Kumbaro.
