Day of Women and Girls in the field of scientific research

February 11 is marked as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and is implemented by UNESCO and United Nations Women. The purpose of this day is to promote full and equal access to the participation of women and girls in the field of scientific research. The University of Tirana considers gender equality as one of its most essential priorities and supports women and girls in their education and academic work. This day is a reminder that women and girls play an important role in the science and technology communities and their participation should be strengthened.
