The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, welcomed in an official meeting Ms. Justina Shiroka-Pula, President of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts (KASA).
ASHAK is the highest institution of science and art in Kosovo, headquartered in Pristina, established by decision of the Assembly of Kosovo on December 20, 1975.
During the meeting, the close cooperation between academic institutions in Albania and Kosovo was appreciated, and the important role of the University of Tirana in strengthening inter-university ties was emphasized. The University of Tirana has a considerable number of bilateral agreements with universities in Kosovo.
The focus of the discussions was on deepening institutional cooperation through the signing of an Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Tirana and ASHAK, the development of joint research projects, the organization of scientific and cultural activities, joint publications, as well as the involvement of young academics and researchers in open lectures.
This meeting marks an important step towards further strengthening nationwide academic cooperation and the promotion of science and art in the Albanian space.
