The University of Tirana has approved the Gender Equality Plan for the period 01.06.2021-31.05.2022. Its purpose is to design actions and implement measures that will bring about systemic institutional change by addressing gender bias. 

The Gender Equality Plan has been announced by the European Commission as a qualification criterion for higher education institutions, in applications to the "Horizon Europe" Program (applicable criterion for calls with deadlines in 2022 and beyond). This document is necessary during the application process for projects in various fields in the open calls within the "Horizon Europe" program, and mandatory in cases of signing grant agreements.
