Rector of the University of Tirana Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni received in a working meeting the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Albania, Sh.S.Mrs. Jiang Yu. During this meeting, Rector Koni and Ambassador Yu evaluated the achievements so far in the cooperation in the field of higher education as well as discussed a series of steps and opportunities to increase the exchange of university experiences of both countries. Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni noted that this year alone, about 630 students have enrolled in Chinese language and culture courses at the Confucius Institute at the University of Tirana.
In this context, they appreciated the role played by the Confucius Institute in increasing bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Yu, for her part, expressed her willingness to support any cooperation initiative between the University of Tirana and the best universities in the People's Republic of China.
