In the framework of the cooperation between the University of Tirana and the American Democratic Institute (NDI), we inform you about the establishment of the Parliamentary Institute near the Parliament of Albania, which has announced the vacant position of the Director of the Parliamentary Institute (IP).
The Institute was conceived within the Project "For the Support of Parliament and Civic Education" (PACEP), supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) which is implemented by the American Democratic Institute (NDI) together with the OSCE Presence. in Albania.
The Institute was established by the Assembly in January 2021 as a separate general service to support well-informed decision-making through the provision of information and research products to MPs. Also, the Institute will develop and implement a wide range of civic education programs, as well as to promote the effective involvement of citizens in the work of the Assembly
Based on the agreement signed with the Assembly, NDI has provided support in drafting the scope of IP's responsibilities and services, as well as job descriptions and necessary qualifications for each of the positions. Also, NDI is collaborating with the Assembly to develop a recruitment process based on the principles of meritocracy, party impartiality and professionalism and will observe all stages of the recruitment process.
