The call for applications for scholarships for students of the University of Tirana at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom for the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023 is open.

 

Within the framework of the Erasmus + program, the call for applications for scholarships for mobility for students of the University of Tirana to the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom has been opened for the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023.

Types of mobility include:

 

- Student exchange for studies;

Duration of scholarships:

– Bachelor (1 semester);

*Third year Bachelor students cannot apply.

 

Fields of study:

 

UT students can apply to these faculties/departments of the University of Westminster:

 

  • College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries;
  • College of Liberal Arts and Sciences;
  • Westminster Business School.

Scholarships include:

 

– Monthly allowance (900 EUR per month for students);

 

– Travel costs (depending on the distance between the host and home university)

Students benefiting from Erasmus+ mobility will not pay any tuition fees at the host university. Students will continue to pay their tuition and/or registration fees at their home university.

Documents required for application for Bachelor level students:

– CV (in English);

– Passport copy;

– Student certificate (in Albanian and officially translated into English);

– Grade list (in Albanian and officially translated into English);

– Letter of Motivation in English;

– Foreign language certificate (English B2);

Foreign language documents accepted by Westminster University are: IELTS, Pearson, TOEFL or Cambridge English Language Examination score.

-*Learning Agreement (students must have 60 UK/30 ECTS);

*Learning Agreement is a contract between the home university and the applicant and serves to determine the courses you will develop at the host university. You only need to complete the first section "Mobility Plan". Table A defines the subjects and credits you will receive at the host university, table B defines which of the subjects from Table A will be recognized at the University of Tirana when you have completed the exchange period.

NOTE: You must choose to complete the same courses at Westminster University as you would in your first semester at your faculty, so that the courses and credits will be recognized when you return. If the selected courses differ from those you would develop in your faculty the first semester, then when you return you must develop the courses that do not fit in the University of Tirana.

The "Learning Agreement" document in the "Commitment" section is signed first by the applicant, then by the academic coordinator at the faculty level and then in the Rectors by the Institutional Coordinator of Erasmus +. If the student changes courses during mobility, the During mobility section must be signed by the person in charge at the faculty and then by the person in charge at the Rectors.

Deadline for application: 30 March 2022

The documents must be submitted by hand to the Rectorate of the University of Tirana, Department of External Relations, as well as scanned via e-mail to the address iro@unitir.edu.al.
