The call for applications for the "International Autumn School" organized by the University Network of Children in Armed Conflicts is open, which will be held online from October 4 to 19, 2021, for students of the University of Tirana.
This first international intensive course on "Children and Armed Conflict and Resolution 1325 (2000) Women, Peace and Security" is supported and co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The course program has been developed with the support of the European Office of the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General on Children and Armed Conflict.
Representatives of Universities and research centers part of the University Network will participate as lecturers and together with them, there will be participation from representatives of international institutions and organizations operating in this field.
The duration of the course is 40 hours and will be held online from October 4 to 19, 2021 - (two weeks, from Monday to Thursday plus two days, for a total of 10 days).
It is anticipated that the participants will be from different countries and geographical areas of the world. For this reason, the difference in time zones will be taken into account and the course will be held from 14:30 to 18:30 in order to allow every participant to participate in it.
The courses will be held in English and French.
Students who attend at least 70% of the course will be provided with a certificate upon completion.
Application criteria for students of the University of Tirana:
It is required that the participants have a study background in the field of Law, Political Science, International Relations or Sociology. It is preferred that participants have a University Degree (at least a BA or equivalent with 3 years of study in these disciplines) or have an equivalent professional experience in one of the above-mentioned fields.
Graduates of other disciplines will be considered depending on the courses they have taken.

The list of admitted students will be communicated on September 25.
