Information about the project: "Leading Towards Sustainable Gender Equality Plans in research institutions - LeTSGEPs"

The Department of Accounting, FEUT is part of a cooperation consortium in the framework of Horizon 2020 projects. The title of the project is "Leading Towards Sustainable Gender Equality Plans in research institutions - LeTSGEPs" and aims to implement gender equality plans in academic and research institutions. The project is expected to develop its activities for a four-year period starting from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023. The Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, is the only research institution in Albania involved as a partner in this concrete project. The other members of the consortium are prestigious institutions from different European countries.

Starting from January 2020, several meetings and activities have been held in the framework of the project, where we can mention the first meeting held on January 20-21, 2020 at the Institution

project coordinator, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Modena, Italy. The object of the meeting was the presentation of the work packages of the project and the planning of the necessary activities for the continuity of the work organization. During the meeting, the specific needs of the partners participating in the consortium were discussed and the Consortium Agreement was finalized.

In February, the second meeting took place, this time in the form of a teleconference via Skype call, where all the project partners were again participants. The object of this second meeting was the discussion on the activities related to the second work package of the project: "Conducting the study on the current situation of Gender Equality Plans in the Institutions Participating in the project".

During the months of March - July 2020, several meetings were held online with Partner Institutions to ensure the continuity of the project, even during the pandemic. Starting from September, project activities have resumed, as well as multilateral online meetings between partners,

For the academic year 2020 - 2021, project activities are foreseen in the framework of the development of trainings related to Budget Plans in Research Institutions. These trainings are expected to take place online and are planned to be conducted in four modules.

Participants in these trainings will be members of the working group with the LeTSGEPs project, mentors, administrative staff, interested members of the Universities, and doctoral students.
