General objective of the project is to increase governance capacities in HEIs in Albania and contribute to cooperation between the EU and partner countries.
This project aims to gather a group of researchers from four universities with extensive experience in developing and deploying IT governance models (including ITG4U) from three different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new IT governance framework to be implemented in several universities in the Western Balkans region. The expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Albanian HEIs, as well as a general modernization of governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of cooperation between the EU, Norway and Western Balkan regions.
This project aims to address the three barriers by providing a range of experts from HEIs with previous experience in the subject, ensuring the planning and delivery of an ITG framework. The framework will increase the management, governance and innovation capacities of IT assets and structures in partner countries to address the challenges faced by institutions and their higher education systems, including those of quality, relevance, equity of access, planning, delivery, management and governance. In addition, it will also address the following objectives:
- Improving the quality of higher education and increasing its importance for the labor market and society.
- Management, governance and innovation training, as well as the internationalization of HEIs.
