The overall objective of the K-FORCE project is to contribute to building a sustainable educational foundation in the field of Disaster Risk Management and Fire Safety Engineering in the countries of the Western Balkans. The project is interdisciplinary in nature, where engineering is the main discipline. Other disciplines to be addressed in the curricula of the new programs include: environmental protection, architecture and construction, civil protection, fire sciences, climatology, hydrology, seismology and economics. The knowledge gained in the field of Disaster Risk Management and Fire Safety Engineering will provide the basis for building a sustainable society capable of responding to catastrophic events. |
