International Conference on the challenges of the Social Worker!

In the Faculty of Social Sciences, the 6th International Scientific Conference, with the theme "Achievements and challenges of the social work profession", was successfully completed. The conference was greeted by the Rector of the University of Tirana, Deputy. The Minister of Health and Social Protection, the Ambassador of Switzerland in Albania, the Permanent Representative of UNDP in Albania, the Rector of the University of Shkodra, etc.

The conference was realized within the project "Strengthening the professional capacities of students of Social Sciences and Professionals of Social Services" which is being implemented by the Faculties of Social Sciences of the Universities of Tirana, Elbasan and Shkodra, with the support of UNDP Albania as part of the Program of the UN Joint "No One Left Behind" (LNB2) which is financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The conference was attended by professors, researchers, students, experts and professionals from Albania and other countries. Their discussions and presentations encouraged constructive debates and the exchange of innovative ideas, which aim to improve existing practices and develop new social policies. These academic and professional exchanges are essential for the advancement of knowledge and practices in the field of social work, thus contributing to the further development of this profession at the national and international level.

In addition to theoretical discussions and academic presentations, the conference served as a platform for networking and collaboration between participants, creating opportunities for new research projects and joint initiatives that can have a significant impact on our society.
