Career Office

 

The mission of the career offices at the University of Tirana is to support and guide students and alumni in their professional development and career preparation. These offices provide tools, resources and services that help individuals explore career opportunities, gain practical skills and build their professional network. Some of the main mission objectives of career offices include:

  1. Professional Development: Provide training and resources that help students develop important career skills, such as resume writing, interviewing, and building soft skills such as communication and leadership.
  2. Career Exploration: To guide students in identifying their professional interests and goals, by providing career counseling, assessments of professional interests and information about the labor market.
  3. Intermediation of Internships and Employments: To create connections between students and employers through the provision of internships, internships and jobs, by organizing job fairs and recruitment sessions.
  4. Professional Networking: Help students and alumni build professional networks through mentoring, connecting with successful alumni, and attending professional events.
  5. Matching Skills with Market Requirements: Ensure that their programs and activities are in line with the demands of the labor market and prepare students for changing career challenges.

 Below, a summary of the activities that the career offices in all the main units of UT carry out:

  • Open lectures on various topics such as: "Interviewing techniques"; "Self-employment, to discover the leadership skills within us"; "Career advice: how to write a cover letter", "How to write a CV", "How to make a job application", etc.
  • Open meetings with students, such as: "Open Day"; "Be a student for a day", How to apply or participate in mobility programs such as Erasmus +, competitions or trainings; Study visits to public or private companies for close knowledge of how an institution or company works
  • Workshop with topics such as: Diploma Thesis; Graduate information days
  • Meetings with different companies for cooperation, both for internship and employment opportunities
