Cooperation Agreement between the University of Tirana and the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium
In an online meeting, UT Rector Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha signed another agreement with the Rector of the College of Europe, Federica Mogherini. The signing of this memorandum comes from the experience of the College of Europe in the field of European Studies, especially at the master's level. The initiative to create an Executive Master's in EU membership and negotiations and other training components are some of the driving elements for ISE to participate in the process.
This agreement aims at strategic cooperation for the development of the institutional capacities of ISE (UT) and its academic offer. The aim is to contribute to the strengthening and transformation of ISE into a reference point for knowledge and expertise in the EU accession process. The agreement aims to fulfill ISE's academic needs in this regard, taking advantage of the college's capacities, network and experience. And, on the other hand, the agreement increases the presence and visibility of the College in the region, as part of their strategy.
Some of the proposed activities include:
- Technical assistance and consultations for the medium and long-term development strategy, academic staff involved in the teaching modules for the Executive Master on Negotiations,
- Joint organization of training activities on specific topics of membership negotiations,
- Joint Regional Summer School on EU Affairs,
- Organization of information sessions on the College and its academic offer in Tirana,
- Involvement of Albanian graduates of the College in ISE activities, including teaching, periodic review of opportunities for joint applications for projects for EU funds.
