On October 19, 2020, the meeting of the Rectors' Conference took place, with rectors of public and non-public universities in Albania.

During this meeting, the new President of the Conference of Rectors, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha and 2 (two) sub-chairmen Prof. Dr. Skender Topi and Prof. Dr. Tony Gjuraj.

In this context, a press conference was held with media representatives. Some of the most important issues that were discussed during the rectors' conference and of common interest to Higher Education Institutions in the country were:

 1. Management and administration of universities as best as possible, in terms of quality and European standards, new programs, specialization of universities, institutional direction, implementation of standards for their best classification in international ranking, scientific research and administration financial;

2. Greater participation and engagement in European research and development projects, through a wider cooperation between universities;

3. Cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the government for legal improvements for the status, role and functioning of universities;

4. Public communication of universities and their contribution with ideas, development platforms, public policy, broad education, partnerships with the government and local government.
