More cooperation opportunities between UT and PABSEC

Today, the Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha held a meeting with the International Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), Mr. Asafev Hajiyev, where he discussed the possibilities of cooperation between both sides.

What PABSEC and the University of Tirana have in common is that PABSEC and the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN) cooperate and UT is a member of BSUN.

The network has the legal status of an international ad-hoc organization and was created on the occasion of the 2nd Conference of Rectors of the Black Sea Universities, held in Constanta between July 9 and 12, 1998, in the premises of the University of Constanta. This network includes more than 120 member universities from the 12 member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization such as Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Serbia.

Also present at this meeting was the deputy. Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Anila Paparisto, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Eglantina Kalluci, Directorate of Scientific Research, Projects and External Relations, Dr. Erida Elmazi, representative of Albania in the position of Secretary of the PABSEC Commission for Social and Humanitarian Policies Ms. Renata Meto.
