RECAS 2026 Scholarship Program Launched in Belgrade

The RECAS 2026 Fellowship Program officially launched with a two-day kick-off meeting, held on 12–13 December at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory (IFDT) in Belgrade. The meeting brought together 17 selected fellows, mentors and representatives from partner institutions, with online participation from the RECAS network.

The meeting opened with a presentation of the vision and objectives of the program, while the fellows presented their research interests, focused on the main themes of RECAS: youth imaginations and eco-digital futures. The event also presented the program structure, planned activities and support that will be provided to the fellows during the fellowship year.

As part of the program, a seminar was also held on the role of academic research in public policymaking, as well as participation in the ceremony to award the "Miladin Životic" Prize, accompanied by a public lecture by Prof. Joseph E. Stiglitz, Nobel Prize laureate in Economics.

In this call for the RECAS 2026 Scholarship Program, two more doctoral (PhD) researchers from Albania have received scholarships, further strengthening regional academic representation and cooperation.
