Since January 2020, the Accounting Department, FEUT is part of a cooperation consortium in the framework of Horizon 2020 projects. The title of the project is "Leading Towards Sustainable Gender Equality Plans in research institutions - LeTSGEPs" and aims to implement gender equality plans in academic and research institutions. The Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, is the only research institution in Albania involved as a partner in this concrete project. Other members of the consortium are prestigious institutions from various European countries such as Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia (project coordinator), RWTH Aachen University, Paris School of Economics, Max PlanckGesellschaft, etc.
For the academic year 2020 - 2021, project activities are foreseen in the framework of the development of trainings related to Budget Plans in Research Institutions. These trainings are expected to take place online and are planned to be carried out in four modules:
Module 1: Presentation with the concepts of gender equality - organized by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The expected dates for this training are expected to be between 16/10 and 23/10.
Module 2: Context of Gender Equality - organized by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The expected dates for this training are expected to be between 16/10 and 23/10.
Module 3: Planning – organized by the Max PlanckGesellschaft. The expected dates for this training are expected to be between: 30/10/2020, 02/11/2020, 04/11/2020
Module 4: Gender-based budgeting - organized by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the University of Messina: The dates for this training are expected to be from 10/11 to 25/11
Participants in these trainings will be members of the working group with the LeTSGEPs project, mentors, administrative staff, interested members of the Universities, and doctoral students.
