On April 10, 2015, in the premises of the Faculty of Social Sciences, in the "Aula Magna" hall, a seminar was organized with the topic "The Role of Philosophy in Albanian Society". 

The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof.Dr., took part in this activity. Dhori Kule, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof.Dr. Theodhori Karaj, Director of the Institute of Education Development, Dr. Gerti Janaqi, professors of philosophy from "Fan Noli" University of the city of Korça, professors and students of the Department of Philosophy.  

The goals of this activity were: 

 1. Valuable promotion of philosophy as not only theoretical and mind-forming knowledge but also as a valuable experience providing skills for the improvement of society. 

 2. Encouraging the development of knowledge, habits and experiences in this field among the students of the Department of Philosophy.

 3. Analysis of the concrete problems that arise in the connection of this knowledge with the demands of society and the labor market.

 4. Encouraging the outreach, lobbying and support of philosophy scholars and students to successfully integrate into our wider society.

This activity serves the academic staff of the Department of Philosophy, high school teachers as well as philosophy students as:

- Aims to contribute to the exchange of ideas, concepts and practices among professionals in the field.

- To present the impact that the philosophy branch curriculum has on the preparation of a contingent of intellectuals and employees who can improve with ideas and skills the leadership and the implementation of the principles of democracy.

- To increase the awareness of all actors, institutions, civil society and universities about the influence of philosophy on the culture of a nation and its politics. T? is philosophy restored as a subject? core n? high schools as it happens in? most school programs middle european.

– Engagement of students and lecturers in a wider context of the teaching field of philosophy and its applications.

- Increasing cooperation and institutional interaction of the Department of Philosophy with other departments in the framework of improving scientific work and joint projects.
