Albania - Germany, more opportunities for students

Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha held the first official meeting with the Ambassador of Germany in Albania, Mr. Peter Zingraff.

During the meeting, the possibilities of UT cooperation with German Universities were discussed and the willingness to intensify current relations and to build new bridges of cooperation with new universities was emphasized.

UT currently has several active cooperation agreements within the Erasmus+ program with the University of Saarland; University of Eberswalde; Koblenz University of Applied Sciences; University of Applied Sciences Emden Leer, Humboldt University Berlin. Also, in the framework of various project applications, there has been cooperation with the academic staff of various universities and institutes and cooperation in international projects with German universities and organizations.

Also present at the meeting were the Head of the Press & Culture Office, Responsible for Education at the German Embassy in Albania, Mr. Martin Zickendraht, Deputy. Rector for the Research-Scientific Side at UT, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Bernard Dosti and Dr. Erida Elmazi from the Directorate of Scientific Research, Projects and External Relations at UT.

Both sides showed the will and readiness to intensify relations and participation in joint projects in the field of education.
