Albania-Romania, university cooperation and anti-communism studies
Following the meeting held on November 04, 2024, with the Romanian delegation from the "Petre Andrei" University of Iasi, the "Nicolae Iorga" Institute of History and the Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism, where the establishment of cooperation was discussed, among others, it was agreed to sign the general cooperation agreement with the University of Tirana.
The Romanian delegation, which was attended by the Rector of the "Petre Andrei" University of Iasi, the Director of the Institute of History "Nicolae Iorga" and the Director of the Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism, gathered today in the Rectorate of the UT- to sign the agreements.
The purpose of these agreements is to carry out mutual scientific research, the exchange of academic staff, students and educational programs, including the exchange of experience in terms of the education of students and staff.
More specifically, the agreed areas are as follows:
1. Exchange of researchers and scientists to carry out research of common interest.
2. Exchange of professors for lectures and short-term visits.
3. Invitations to researchers for participation in conferences, symposia and guidelines.
4. Exchange of information, academic materials and publications in areas of common interest.
5. Facilitating student mobility through exchanges and visits between the two universities.
6. Creation of joint degree programs.
