Today, 21.06.2021, at the Rectorate of the University of Tirana, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha and Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco, Chairman of the Presence in Albania of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).   

The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to create a framework for cooperation and coordination between the OSCE and UT for the implementation of projects and activities in the field of the rule of law, good governance, democratization, human rights and other common areas through projects like:  

• "Building the capacities of Albanian institutions and professionals in the field of transitional justice";  
• "Supporting the Academic and Policy Debate on Transitional Justice";  
• "Media in Focus - Strengthening the Public Broadcaster and the School of Journalism in Albania";  
• "Public Legal Education".  

Rector, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha in his speech emphasized the cooperation that the University of Tirana has with the OSCE where, among other things, he singled out as a success story the opening of the Executive Master in "Criminology", which is implemented in the Faculty of Law, while Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco congratulated The University of Tirana for the work done on the implementation of joint projects which are under development. 

The Deans of the University of Tirana were also present in this activity.
