Standardization and Certification of the Albanian Language in the Diaspora!
A meeting was held at the Faculty of History and Philology on the topic: "ALBANIAN LANGUAGE AS A STATE POLICY: Standardization and Certification in the Diaspora", attended by lecturers, students and representatives of educational institutions, including Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, Rector of the University of Tirana, Minister of Education Ms. Mirela Kumbaro, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Prof. Dr. Mark Marku and Ms. Mimoza Hysa, Director of the Center for Publications for the Diaspora.
The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, emphasized the importance of institutional support for the development of diaspora programs and the key role of the University in strengthening the cultural identity of Albanians. The Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, focused on inter-institutional cooperation and strategies for the standardization of Albanian language teaching abroad. Prof. Dr. Mark Marku, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, presented academic initiatives and projects involving Albanian language teachers and students, while Ms. Mimoza Hysa, Director of the Center for Publishing for the Diaspora, emphasized the importance of literary and educational magazines, such as Kursen Shqirka, which periodically informs about developments in Albanian schools abroad.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities of certification and standardization of the Albanian language in the diaspora, underlining the importance of academic cooperation, innovation, and strengthening the cultural identity of young Albanians abroad.
