The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan in Tirana, Her Excellency, Ms. KATO Kikuko, where they discussed strengthening academic cooperation between the University of Tirana and Japanese higher education institutions.
During the meeting, the cooperation so far with the Embassy of Japan was appreciated and the importance of further expanding these relations was emphasized. The Embassy of Japan expressed its support for establishing new bridges of cooperation in the field of education and scientific research. One of the key points was the promotion of Japanese scholarships and the prestigious MIRAI program, which offers unique opportunities for Albanian students and young people.
This meeting was also attended by the Vice Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Anila Paparisto, Director of Scientific Research, Projects and Foreign Relations, Dr. Erida Elmazi, as well as Mr. TSUBOI Kohei, head of the culture and press sector at the Embassy of Japan.
This meeting marks an important step towards expanding international cooperation and strengthening ties between the two countries in the fields of education and science.
