The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, received in an official meeting the Ambassador of Canada based in Italy, Ms. Elissa Golberg, accompanied by senior representatives of the Canadian School of Public Service (CSPS): Mr. Taki Sarantakis, President; Ms. Jodi Brouillard, Vice-President; and Mr. Curtis Peters, Counselor for Politics and Economics at the Canadian Embassy.

During the meeting, the possibilities of establishing cooperative relations with the best Canadian universities were discussed, as well as the exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of education and training of public servants, with particular emphasis on justice and public administration.

CSPS representatives and Ambassador Golberg expressed interest in further developing the dialogue with the University of Tirana, with the aim of strengthening university programs that support the development of skilled public servants with contemporary knowledge.

Also present at the meeting was Dr. Erida Elmazi, Director of the Directorate of Scientific Research, Projects and External Relations at the University of Tirana.

This meeting marks an important step towards expanding international academic cooperation and creating new bridges between the University of Tirana and Canadian higher education institutions.
