Training and Education in Social Innovation

University of Tirana, Faculty of Social Sciences/Department of Political Science, is one of the partners of the project TESI-Training and Education in Social Innovation, funded by the Interreg ADRION program. The final goal of this project is to create a partnership that will work on the formulation of a Joint Master's Program for Social Innovation (Joint Master on Social Innovation). In view of this goal, the project focuses on two main objectives:

  • to increase competencies and skills for social innovation through capacity building approaches, with a focus on contemporary social challenges in public administration governance, urban regeneration, social entrepreneurship, welfare, migration;
  • to create a network of universities and research centers to design and implement the joint master's program.

In function of this goal, activities such as online training courses and a summer school will be organized, together with study visits to further strengthen all the expertise and mutual knowledge of the project partners, as well as to promote the upcoming master. The main results of the project will be the creation of an innovative transnational network of Universities, research institutions and business organizations working in the field of social innovation, of a strategy and an action plan for the development of the master's degree in Social Innovation.

The project is managed by Alma Master Studiorum – University of Bologna and also consists of other partners (universities and research centers) such as:

  • University of Tirana (Albania)
  • University of Belgrade (Serbia)
  • Hellenic-Open University (Greece)
  • University of Zagreb (Croatia)
  • Zrs Koper Research Center (Slovenia)
