Academic cooperation between the University of Tirana and ISCTE Lisbon deepens

The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, together with a delegation of representatives from the Faculty of Social Sciences, paid an official visit to the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), where he was received by the Rector of ISCTE, Prof. Helena Carreiras.

In the context of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, the foundations were laid for expanding areas of academic and scientific cooperation, including:

•development of joint study programs;

•increasing the mobility of academic staff, students and administrative personnel;

•development of joint research projects.

During his stay at ISCTE, a meeting was also held with colleagues from the School of Social Sciences and the School of Sociology and Public Policy, where concrete opportunities for cooperation in common areas of academic interest were discussed.

During the meeting between the Rectors, a cooperation agreement was signed with a broader spectrum than the previous one, also including economic disciplines and communication and information technology.

This institutional meeting represents an important step towards deepening academic relations between the University of Tirana and ISCTE Lisbon, in order to exchange knowledge and experiences in higher education.
