CALL FOR DOCTORAL STUDENT

 

For the preparation of a "Policy Paper" in the field of Development, the University of Tirana, in collaboration with the Università degli Studi di Pavia (Italy), within the framework of the project "Promoting Sustainable Human Development through the Consolidation and Expansion of the Cooperation and Development Network: Cooperating in Higher Education to Cooperate for Development" invites third-cycle doctoral students at the University of Tirana to prepare a policy paper in the field of Development Studies.

 

1. Purpose of engagement

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and propose effective policies regarding key issues of economic, social, legal, etc. development, based on the latest research literature and practices.

 

2. Duties of the doctoral student

· Conducting an in-depth thematic analysis on a selected issue in the field of development.

· Drafting recommendations based on strong data and arguments.

· Submission of a policy paper structured in accordance with academic requirements.

 

3. Selection criteria

· The student must be currently registered in the third cycle of doctoral studies at the University of Tirana, in one of the fields of economic, social, legal or similar sciences, and have the status of a UT student at the moment of acceptance of the paper by the Project Steering Committee.

· Previous research experience, with a focus on development or public policy topics.

· Excellent academic writing skills in Albanian and English.

· In-depth knowledge of development theories and practices.

· Analytical and critical capacities to process literature and data.

· Selection will be made by file and interview.

 

3. Modalities of engagement

· Duration of engagement: 12 months from the date of signing the contract.

· Payment: 3.000 euros upon delivery of the product and acceptance by the international project partners.

· Periodic reporting of his work in accordance with the calendar previously approved by the Project Steering Committee.

 

4. Required documentation for application

· Updated CV.

· Letter of interest describing experience and motivation for this engagement.

· Letter of recommendation regarding the candidate's ability to complete the work on time.

· Copy of Master's degree and other relevant certificates.

· Studies of previous works (if any).

· Proof that you are a student in the doctoral program at the University of Tirana.
