General objectives of the project can be identified in equipping judges and lawyers with the knowledge and skills to properly and efficiently apply the updated EU procedural law mechanisms dealing with cross-border debt collection. Indeed, the project will contribute to increasing mutual trust in cross-border justice, easing the disparity between Member States
Project objectives:
- To offer judges and lawyers free, interactive and practice-oriented training in an international and multilingual manner, applying modern technologies for long-term sustainability of results.
- The main aim of the training is to increase the knowledge of the trainees on EU civil law, in particular the EOPP and the ESCP.
- The training will focus on up-to-date good practices and adapted to the identified needs of trainers in order to equip trainers with only the most relevant and important methods of implementing the two Regulations.
- Training will be provided in each of the Member States involved, by teams of trainers with an academic background, who will undergo exchange visits to other Member States involved in order to accelerate the understanding and transfer of good practices in comparative settings and to strengthen mutual trust between legal practitioners in cross-border judicial cooperation.
- The training will include instruction on relevant legal terminology in English, to promote a common understanding of the Regulations and remove language barriers.
- The publication of training materials and project results on the project website will promote learning for all persons interested in the understanding, implementation and best practices of the Regulations in question.
- Creation of the training network with EU candidate states.
- The TRAIN2EN4CE consortium aims to expand the cross-border network of training providers for judges and lawyers. More precisely, the consortium consists of a partnership between universities and affiliated organizations located in seven different member states.
