Title: Knowledge Transfer and Digital Innovation between Austria and Albania

Reference: Decision No. 2., AKKSHI Board, date 30.05.2019

funders: AKKSHI within the "Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Austria"

Duration: 24 months

General purpose it is highlighted that the co-operating businesses between the two countries Austria and Albania can be aware that as long as the markets are uncertain, especially in the time of technological changes, their success will depend on the way and the speed that they will manage to be innovative.

These findings for each pair are further compared.

Project objectives are:

  • Joint publication in conferences or journals between two research groups and participation in scientific activities. In this context, it is planned to follow the "Practitioner Talk" activity, organized every year with the participation of CEOs and senior managers of Austrian businesses to talk in practice about the dynamics of IT in their organizations;
  • Creating and increasing the common network with actors in the field.

 Project phases:

  • Gathering and contacting Austrian-Albanian businesses;
  • Distribution of the questionnaire to businesses;
  • Analyzing data to see the rate of innovation as well as other factors that measure the willingness to apply digital innovation;
  • Awareness through an open activity among interested parties about the results of the analysis carried out

The results achieved as well as certain parts of the methodology of this project will also be reflected in certain educational processes for both institutions, such as improvement of the curricula of the courses "IS Strategy and Governance" or "Research Seminar on Information Management and Control", teaching in both institutions, development of case studies, etc.
