UNIADRION
UNIADRION is an international university and research network, created to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the countries of the Adriatic and Ionian region. The network's aim is to support the sustainable development of the region through higher education, science and innovation, by creating bridges of cooperation between universities and research institutes.
Main objectives
- Promoting the mobility of students, lecturers and researchers;
- Promoting joint research projects in areas of importance to the region, such as the environment, tourism, cultural and social development, the blue economy and innovation;
- Exchange of academic knowledge and experiences;
- Supporting the European integration process of participating countries, within the framework of the Adriatic and Ionian Strategy (EUSAIR).
Through its activities, UNIADRION serves as a cooperation platform that strengthens academic and scientific ties, contributing to the long-term and sustainable development of the region.
Participation of the University of Tirana
The University of Tirana is an active part of the UNIADRION network and contributes to joint research projects, student and academic mobility, as well as initiatives related to the sustainable development of the region. UT is also a member of the project ESN-Air, an initiative that aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of education and the development of digital and intercultural skills among students in the region.
In addition, the University of Tirana participates in Erasmus+ consortium led by UNIADRION, which is managed by Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) and acts as the main coordinator of this consortium, enabling international mobility of students and staff, developing inter-university projects and strengthening academic partnerships throughout the Adriatic-Ionian region.
Participation in these initiatives gives UT the opportunity to deepen international cooperation, increase its academic capacities, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable academic and research network.
