STARS Grants calls are aimed at funding two-year individual research projectswhich can be presented in any search field. Candidates can propose a project in one of the 27 fields of scientific research, which the University of Padua has grouped into three macro fields corresponding to the three research fields of Physical Sciences and Engineering, Social Sciences and Humanities.
The main goal is to increase the participation of the University in international competitive calls, especially those ERC (European Research Council). Successful researchers (Principal Investigators), after being registered in the STARS 2021 program, are committed to submit the application to the ERC (European Research Council).
The call for proposals is open to Principal Investigators of any age and nationality who wish to pursue research in one of the 32 Departments of the University of Padua and who are able to demonstrate the innovative nature, ambition and feasibility of their research. proposed
The budget of STARS projects includes an amount that covers the research costs, which depends on the scientific field of the proposal (the amount for two years is estimated at a maximum of €80.000
