On May 30, 2025, the University of Tirana celebrates its 68th anniversary, an event that marks one of the most important moments in the history of higher education in Albania. Founded in 1957, the University of Tirana is the largest public university institution in the country, and for decades has been the main center of academic education, scientific research, and intellectual development in Albania.

 

Over the years, UT has prepared thousands of students and professionals in various fields of knowledge, playing a key role in the social, economic and cultural development of the country. Today, more than ever, the University of Tirana remains committed to its mission to provide quality education, promote scientific research and build bridges of cooperation with national and international institutions.

 

On this important day, we thank all those who have contributed to the building and development of the University, academics, researchers, students, and numerous collaborators over the years.
