The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, welcomed today to the premises of the Rectorate Mr. Javier Cremades García, President of the World Jurist Association.

This meeting follows the Association's Congress, held on May 4–7, 2025 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where the importance of international cooperation in the field of justice and legal education was emphasized.

During the discussions, the essential role that the University of Tirana has in the development of legal education in the region was addressed, as well as the contribution it can make to the international initiatives of the Association. The meeting served to further strengthen institutional cooperation. The World Law Congress, which is set to be held in Tirana in 2027, is expected to bring to the Albanian capital about 3 thousand jurists from the supreme courts and judicial systems of many countries around the world.

The University of Tirana has a key and irreplaceable role in the formation of young lawyers, by offering a quality education, oriented towards international standards and the demands of the time. As an important academic institution in the region, UT contributes to the preparation of new generations of legal professionals who will play an important role in strengthening the rule of law and social justice.

The World Association of Jurists is a prestigious international network, attended by prominent personalities from the judicial, academic and political systems from around the world.
