The University of Tirana in cooperation with UNICEF Albania launched the program "Strengthening the curriculum of Social Work, for a qualified social workforce capable of working, mobilizing and changing the behavior of the community".

In the framework of the cooperation of the University of Tirana with UNICEF Albania, the program "Strengthening the Social Work curriculum, for a qualified social workforce capable of working, mobilizing and changing the behavior of the community" was presented in the premises of the Rectorate of Tirana. .

Present at this presentation were the Rector of the University of Tirana Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, Head of the Department of Social Work and Social Policy (FSHS) Prof. Assoc. Dr. Eliona Kulluri (Bimbashi), UNICEF Representative Dr. Roberto De Bernardi.

This program will be implemented by the Faculty of Social Sciences, UT with the support of #UNICEFAlbania. The program is consistent with the previous intervention supported by UNICEF, focusing on the creation of platforms and mechanisms for the regular and systematic sharing of good practices for social workforce development and planning among academics, policy makers and practitioners in the field of services of social care and contribution to strengthening the social protection workforce through pre- and in-service curricula for social workers.

The aim of this program is to improve the social work curriculum and policies in two main areas:

– Social welfare and social protection

– Social and behavioral change communication

This program will benefit several generations of students who will graduate in social work and support hundreds of thousands of children and families.
