UT opens the Pedagogical-Psychological Training Program for new lecturers.

The University of Tirana has opened for the first time the Pedagogical-Psychological Training Program for its new lecturers. This program will offer the training of new teachers at UT, to be trained in the field of pedagogy and psychology. 33 new lecturers participate in the first program and the training will last 12 weeks. For the first four weeks, the trainer of new lecturers will be Prof. Dr. Laura Baecher, Hunter College, City University of New York, supported by the American Embassy.

In the future, this program will be open to interested academic staff from other higher education institutions in the country.

At the inauguration ceremony of the program, on March 20, 2023, the rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha emphasized that the idea that comes to life today was old, since the 80s of the last century, by professors of pedagogy at the University of Tirana. This development of the University of Tirana - said Prof. Hoxha - comes in full compliance with the policy of the European Union, according to which "Each institution must develop and implement a strategy for the support and continuous improvement of the quality of teaching and learning, providing the necessary level of human resources, and the integration of this priority in its general mission, enabling all academic staff of higher education institutions to possess the pedagogical training certificate".
