The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, held a meeting at the Rectorate premises with student Mevlan Ademi, one of the organizers of the student protest in North Macedonia for the use of the Albanian language in educational processes.

Also participating in this meeting were the Ambassador of Albania to North Macedonia, Mr. Denion Meidani, Prof. Dr. Dhimitër Bello from the Faculty of History and Philology, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ervin Karamuço from the Faculty of Law.

The discussion focused on the importance of guaranteeing the linguistic rights of Albanian students as a fundamental element of equality and inclusion in the education system. The role of protest as a civic form of awareness and democratic response was emphasized, as well as the need for institutional dialogue to address these issues.

The Rector praised the students' commitment and underlined the support of the University of Tirana for any initiative that promotes the fundamental rights and dignity of Albanian students, both at home and abroad.

The University of Tirana remains committed to strengthening cooperation and support for Albanian academic communities in the region.
