UT organizes "International Student Scientific Conference"

Today, May 18, 2023, the first day of the International Student Scientific Conference took place with the theme "Scientific research and education from the perspective of students and young researchers - UT speaks with the voice of students".

The conference was opened by Deputy. Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Dr. Elsa Skenderi, at the same time the chairperson of the organizing committee of the conference, who thanked all the young researchers from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and other European countries who joined the Conference with their research-scientific contributions. She described the participants in the conference as the assets of our academic world and the pride of the work and dedication of our professorship.

Rector of the University, Prof. dr. Artan Hoxha, congratulated the students for the research work and dedication they have shown during the organization of the Conference. The Rector of UT also said that "We want to present the generation of talented young people, those who have the will to study and work, those who have chosen to contribute to the difficult and beautiful field of science. So I take the opportunity to thank you again, not only for the work you have done, but also for the great message you are conveying today, which our society, especially our young people, needs so much. You are today the model of our youth and for that I am sincerely very satisfied"

The conference was honored with her participation by the Minister of Education and Sports, Prof. dr. Evis Kushi. She said that the University of Tirana is always avant-garde and has worked hard in the process of internationalization, which is also noticed by the participation of foreign students in the Conference. Also, she emphasized the importance of engaging young people in scientific research.

The Rector of the University of Prishtina was also present, who emphasized that this very significant conference builds geographical bridges, but also promotes intellectual unity. This is truly a unique platform where the voices of our young intellectuals and emerging researchers get the prominence they truly deserve.

The student, Alkida Myftaraj, thanked all the pedagogical and administrative staff, the rectorate and the Organizing Committee for the work done during these months, as she described the work process and the expected achievements of the Conference.

In the second session, the panel with guests of honor on the topic "Contemporary methods of scientific research and the importance of engaging young people in scientific research": Prof. Assoc. Linda Pustina, (advisor to the deputy prime minister), Prof. Assoc. Ardian Gola through a video conference (Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Education, Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo), Mrs. Mirela Muça, (General Director of the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation) was moderated by the student Stelina Ndreu and Prof. Dr. Anila Paparisto (UT vice-rector).

In this discussion, students received advice and information on scientific research and youth projects.

The second day of the conference will take place on May 19, where students and young researchers will present their research-scientific works in thematic sessions.
