In the Rectorate of the University of Tirana, an evaluation activity was held in connection with the first Albanian Master's program in Criminology, which supports a multidisciplinary approach to the prevention of crime in the country. This meeting took place with the participation of the Office for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement at the United States Embassy in Albania and the Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana.
Participating in this meeting was the Rector of the University of Tirana Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Assoc. In his speech, the Rector of UT Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha expressed gratitude to the US Government and the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs for the program in question, which is based on an innovative approach, leaving behind the classic attitude towards crime, which is based on investigations and punishments. criminal, shifting the focus and effort towards a more comprehensive approach. An ever-increasing number of Albanian specialists will be professionally trained for the use of empirical data for an efficient fight against crime from a modern perspective based on the latest science.
