On April 28, 2014, Prof. Dr. Dhori Kule, Rector of the University of Tirana visited the Aristolelic University of Thessaloniki. This visit was made in the framework of the academic cooperation and not only that the University of Tirana has with this university. In this visit, Prof. Kule was also accompanied by Prof. Dr. Shezai Rrokaj, Dean of the Faculty of History-Philology, Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Prof. Dr. Sulo Hadëri, Dean of the Faculty of Economics.

During his visit, Prof. Kule talked with his counterpart Prof. Janis A. Mylopoulos. During this meeting, the deepening of cooperation bridges, academic exchanges for students and projects were discussed. The opening of the Albanian language at this university has also been appreciated.

During this visit, a symposium for lecturers and students was organized at the University of Thessaloniki. In this conference, Prof. Kule gave a presentation on the mutual relations between the two universities and the prospect and possibilities of future cooperation. Prof. Sulo Hadëri spoke about the potential of cooperation in the perspective of European integration for Albania, Prof. Shezai Rrokaj spoke about the role of education in improving the mutual image of Albania and Greece, while Prof. Mynyr Koni spoke about the biodiversity and natural resources of cross-border areas, opportunities for multi-dimensional cooperation.

Our Consul in Thessaloniki, Mr. Riza Poda, was also present during this meeting, who has been a great help in strengthening the cooperation between the two institutions of higher education.
