Project objectives are:
- Identification, localization and positioning of endemic/subendemic plants and four thousand terrestrial endemics in the mountainous areas of Korçë, Berat and Vlorë counties.
- Identification and evaluation of the user potentials of plants of the genus Crocus and Centaurea in the area under study, expanding in special cases, such as Sazan Island for the species of the genus Centaurea in the Kukës District and for the species of the genus Crocus in the District of Shkodra. ;

- Observation and assessment of plant-insect coexistence in their natural environment, identification of new species unknown until now;
- Establishing a HUB in the Department of Biology in order to increase the quality of scientific research as a coordinating center for data-flow and discussions between partners and BioNNA, in order to increase the quality of scientific research and environmental education of students and staff protected areas.
The project is closely related to the involvement of young specialists in scientific research at the Doctorate level and other students at the level of Master's microtheses, as well as part of the scientific research of the Department of Biology and Biotechnology
Specific contributions that the project brings:
- The identification and recognition of rare and threatened species as well as the informatization of their location will help in the development of protective policies against the growth environment, but at the same time it will also serve to increase the ECO-TOURISTIC attraction in Albanian nature.
- Digitizing the results and making them known to the public, relevant institutions and researchers, of data in the field of Botany and Zoology, will help in their awareness of environmental conservation and sustainable use of ecosystem products.
- Knowing and enriching knowledge about Flora and Fauna as well as the living environment, so the project will contribute to NATURAL sciences and ENVIRONMENTAL sciences as a whole.
